I stayed at Miss Sophie’s for 7 nights in September 2014 while traveling solo in the Czech Republic. Miss Sophie’s was the perfect home base for day trips through out the region and a fabulously central place for touring Prauge. The staff was exceptional. They were all young (20’s), but completely professional with great work ethic and devoted to making everyone feel welcome.
If you are not afraid of a little walking, this hotel is reasonably well-located to get to all the main sites — maybe 10-15 minutes. It has just been redone and everything is very stylized and eclectic, but appealing. There are maybe 20 rooms in an old 4 or 5 story building (with an elevator) that have recently been updated/redecorated. The decor is fun, light and hip. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning (it was in the 90s when we were there) was good.
“15 minute walk from the old town district, clean beds and washroom, individual outlets and lights, super friendly staff, great bar and solid wifi. cannot express enough how stellar the breakfast is… I mean I think it might be homemade strawberry jam! Deeeelicious.”
“Staff were very nice. room was very spacious and clean. bathroom very good. comfortable beds. short walk to the no.22 tram which takes you over the river towards the castle district. stayed for 2 nights and had absolutely no quarrels at all.”
I stayed 2 nights in a double bedroom with private bathroom because a friend recommend it to me and the room was just excellent: beautifully decorated (modern chic style), very clean, extremely friendly staff, delicious breakfast and walking distance to everything.
Thank you very much to the girls on the reception for the great support. And thank you for this warm welcome. You gave everybody a feeling like home. I had a single room. It was a nice room with a cool bathroom. The hotel is only 10 min walk from Wenceslas square and a good base to explore Prague.
