DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT
Concerning taking a cab from the airport, the trip would take around 20 minutes. If you decide to come here by cab, please do not just pick a cab from the curb, since Prague taxi drivers are notorious. I suggest that upon exiting the Prague airport’s terminal, you find the AAA taxi company’s parking spot, and take a taxi with “AAA” written on its side doors. This is a reputable company. The taxi trip to Miss Sophie’s costs around 650 CZK, but it is counted by the meter, so do not attempt to negotiate a price. As a precaution, I advise you not to negotiate with the driver, but instead require that he charge by the meter and ask for a receipt before the trip. You should give the driver Miss Sophie’s address, which is: Melounova 3, Praha 2.
If you want to come here from the airport by metro, then you need to take bus 119 from the airport terminal to Dejvicka metro station. From Dejvicka you take the green metro line to Muzeum metro station. At Muzeum, you change to the red metro line and go one stop to I. P. Pavlova. When you get off the escalators at I. P. Pavlova, take the first left exit to the street. Go straight down the street, cross one intersection and continue straight passing by PriceWaterHouse and Ibis Novotel on your left. Spot the Banditos restaurant on the right corner and turn right into that small street, which is actually where Miss Sophie’s is. You will see our sign over the door on the left sidewalk. The whole trip by public transport should take you around 50 minutes. For traveling by public transport you will need to buy a 20 CZK ticket per person, and if you have large pieces of luggage, then a 10 CZK ticket for each big piece of luggage.
DIRECTIONS FROM TRAIN AND BUS STATIONS
Please beware! We do not recommend taking a cab from a train station or bus station. A number of our guests were taken advantage of by Prague's notorious taxi drivers who charge ten times more than the regulated fare. Also please do not exchange your currerncy at the trains stations, the exchange rates are a rip off, as they are at a number of exchange booths around the tourist area of the Old Town. If you go by metro, then you will need an 18 CZK ticket per person. If you carry a piece of luggage larger than 70cm x 40cm x 25cm, then you will also need a 13 CZK ticket per piece of such oversize luggage.
